Elk River Senior Living's Memory Care Neighborhood is thoughtfully designed to promote the well-being of its residents by providing an optimal balance of security, independence, and empowerment for those living with the challenges of memory loss. Along with 24-hour staffing and top-of-the-line care, our Neighborhood regularly hosts small group activities that focus on each resident’s capabilities. Interactive games and events enhance our seniors’ sense of joy and accomplishment and promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Our compassionate and experienced staff respects each residents’ space in their private apartment homes and encourages their participation in our community events. 

The Neighborhood's common spaces include:

•    A spacious dining and activities room with an activity kitchen for baking and more.
•    A private memory garden featuring raised garden beds, a patio, and a walking path.
•    A sunroom lounge for puzzles, relaxing, socializing, or watching the activity in the six-foot built-in fish tank.
•    A calming sensory room for when one might need a small break.
•    A comfortable spa room featuring a fully-accessible spa tub.

Our Memory Care residents also have accompanied access to the community's other amenities (when appropriate for the individual). Examples include worship services, various events and celebrations, our hair salon, wellness clinics, and more.

Our Neighborhood is designed to relieve our residents and their families from daily cares as well as stimulate and nurture memory preservation and development. With four apartment styles that range from efficiency studios to one-bedrooms, our specially designed Memory Care apartments provide a safe, comfortable retreat for your loved one when they are not participating in the wide variety of activities and programming that take place in our community spaces. Our Memory Care Neighborhood's apartments feature: 

•    In-floor radiant heating and individual thermostat 
•    Spacious bathrooms with linen cabinets and large five-foot showers
•    Cable TV programming package and Wi-Fi internet access
•    Utilities included (excludes landline phone service)
•    Kitchen featuring ample storage, full-sized refrigerator, and optional above-counter microwave in most units
